Frequently Asked Support Questions

What computers does Nimble work with?

Any Windows 11 laptop or desktop with a USB-C port and a standard USB audio driver supports the Nimble 2 — no special software or drivers are needed on Windows 11.

Do I need to install software?

No. The Nimble 2's configuration screen runs in your browser — nothing to install.

Can I use more than one microphone?

Yes. The Nimble 2 has 8 FlexMic inputs, each with independently adjustable gain.

Can I use microphones other than FlexMic?

The Nimble 2 is built for the JAVS FlexMic family. If you need to use a third-party microphone, the JM-24GB gooseneck base accepts standard third-party mic heads (Shure, Audio-Technica, and others) while still giving you the Nimble 2's gain control and profile management. A separate adapter (JAVS FMPA) is also available for connecting other third-party mics to a FlexMic input.

Which FlexMic is best for my workflow?

For the fullest feature set (six polar patterns, programmable status LEDs, voice masking), the JM-24B Boundary Microphone is the flagship model, delivering the clearest and cleanest recording possible. Use of the JM-24G/GB requires an external power supply.

Can I mix different FlexMic models?

Yes — the Nimble 2's 8 inputs are independently configurable regardless of mic type.
